So there's a name for my writing style run-on sentences! Actually, I don't omit punctuation entirely, but if often seems that writing in a perfectly grammatically correct style impedes the flow of my sentences. Maybe that is why texting and emailing are so popular -- they flow so easily. I understand grammar girl's point and I agree that we have to learn the rules but I think that run-on sentences like this one are more conversational and therefore friendlier. On the other hand, this is English class, so I'll just have to bite the bullet and use those commas!

Her voice is irritating. She got her point across though. I don't have any questions, I learned about run on sentences alreadyyy . The only thing that stood out was her irritating voice. All this episode did for me was refresh my memory I guess.

I agree with Jasmine and Elizabeth that her voice is really annoying, but I just read the text and turned down the sound. After reading everyone's sentences, I realized that the solution to run-on sentences is to write with different sentence structure instead of using I all the time.

I liked this grammar girl because it explains a common error in our English language. I like how she explains how most people think run -on sentences are long. But they don’t necessarily have to be long they can be short to.
Example: We were hungry after our long hike we built a fire to cook.
Correction: We were hungry after our long hike, and we built a fire.
I disagree with jartsonla the way to fix a run-on sentence is not to change your sentence structure but to test it. One way to do that is to find a subject and a predicates. Her voice was annoying but, in my case it was clear and that’s what I need. With my hearing problem I have trouble understanding electronics so it was perfect if I could understand it.
I thought that grammar girl did a great job with explaining run-on sentences. i learned that run-on sentences are sentences that aren't seperated by any puncuation.i also learned that run-on sentences are usually two or more sentences that are fused together. i also learned that run-on sentences can be seperated by puncuation such as: period, semi-colon, commas, etc. Luckily nothing confused me, yet it made my understanding of run-on sentences even more clear.
Examples:
1. I am Navpreet Singh i like to play Basketball.
Corrected:
1. I am Navpreet Singh. I like to play Basketball.
2. I am an athletic person i am sometimes lazy.
Corrected:
2. I am an athletic person, nevertheless, i am sometimes lazy.
Response to chely:
I agree with chely on how she liked grammer girl since it really corrects the simple mistakes we make in everyday writing. It's true how run-on sentences are too long and get confusing to understand.
Response to Jartsonla:
I agree with jartsonla on how texting and e-mailing have a connection with the way that we write today. Texting and e-mailing "language" can be used in our writing which may become a bad habit to develop. Using commas, periods, and other forms of puncuation can really make the reading and writing easier to understand, since all of the different thoughts and ideas are separated with puncuation.
The poscast was about run-on sentences. I learned about ron-on sentences already like Elizabeth said it just refreshed my memory.
